For those interested in the best performing police vehicles in history, the Ford Mustang SSP and the Chevrolet Camaro B4C. Though primarily focused on the Canadian use of these vehicles, this Blog is open to information from around the world. Know of service in other locations? Have stories, videos, & photos? SSP Service Details

The Ford Mustang SSPs completed their training in 1982 and were recruited until 1993. Though Mustangs continued on in the private sector there is no indication of future recruiting.

B4C Service Details

The Chevrolet B4Cs hit the streets in 1991 and stopped being recruited in 2002. 2002 was the 35th Anniversary for the Camaro and all B4Cs sworn in that year had special insignia attached to their uniform. As a side note, the Camaro will return to the private sector in 2008, and hopefully the B4C will follow shortly thereafter.

Owner of a 1991 SSP & 2002 B4C. The SSP served with the RCMP Freeway Patrol in Innisfail, Alberta, Canada. The B4C is one that managed to sneak into private hands without serving a tour of duty. The B4C features rare neutral leather, 6 speed manual transmission, and Burnt Orange Metallic paint.
